Tournament:
The
laptop computer belonging to CCMGA was stolen in a burglary.
Unfortunately, there was no backup data for the tournament.
The original scorecards were also in the laptop bag. And
to make matters worse, there was no outside scoreboard
available to record results due to a broken printer at
the golf course.
The
bottom line is that the Board has no record whatsoever
of this tournament and we have therefore voted unanimously
to refund all tournament entry and skins fees to all participants.
These refunds will be in the form of coupons available
to pick up at the Thursday Razz or at any future tournament.
You may also sign up for the next tournament and simply
write on your entry form that you want us to use your
voucher for your tournament entry fees. You may also redeem
your coupon for a direct refund by contacting our Treasurer,
Ken Kerner at KKERNERAZ@COX.NET
The
coupons cannot be used for Razz fees.
The
Board of Governors would like to assure everyone that
there has never been any personal data for any members
stored on the laptop. We only keep records of member’s
names and whether they have paid for the tournament.
We
do realize that some participants will be disappointed
to not receive expected prize money, and we understand
that. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this
causes our members. We have taken steps to hopefully prevent
this situation from occurring in the future.
We
are currently discussing with the City the possibility
of scheduling an additional tournament to make up for
this one, and will keep our members informed of any developments.
